It has been a while sense I have updated this and I am sorry. Ryan and I have been really busy building a gym and going through the affiliation process. Ryan and I are both Level 1 certified Coaches for CrossFit and we are the Owner/Operators of CrossFit Murrieta. It has been a little bit of a journey but we have loved every minute of it and we have made amazing friendships along the way.
Everyone always ask us how we got involved in CrossFit and why we wanted to open our own box, so here is our story… (the short version)
Ryan had been doing CrossFit for quite awhile. (It is huge with military) and he kept asking me to try it. I was working out with a personal trainer 3 days a week with a friend at a local gym so I did not want to switch. Then I had Liam and getting to the gym and getting a good work out was really hard. I did not have an hour and a half to spend there so I decided to try out this “CrossFit” my husband kept talking about. IT KICKED MY BUTT! It was harder than anything I had ever done and I loved it! So I was hooked. We decided to save some money by quitting the gyms and working out in our garage. We bought a little bit of equipment and then slowly other people started wanting to work out with us. Friends from church, neighbors. We had a fun little group of us doing the WOD’s (work out of the day) on a regular basis. We started talking about getting more stuff, and getting insurance just in case someone got hurt and I was spending so much time in the garage that I was not able to work as much at my other job (IT consulting) so we had to decide go through the affiliation process and start charging or stop letting our friends work out with us. So we chose to take the steps into Affiliation and the rest is history…
We have been affiliated sense mid September and we have a fun group of Athletes that come work out with us. We are growing every week and we hope to open a box (not in our garage) after Ryan gets back from deployment and CHP academy (assuming they pick him up). CrossFit has become part of our life. We are healthier, stronger and happier than we have ever been.

We started offering a CrossFit kids class that Taylor is involved in. The kids program is amazing. It builds confidence, coordination strength, self-esteem, and character. The kids love working out!
